“How long will it take?” is one of the first questions we’re asked — especially on deadline-driven jobs. The honest answer is “it depends,” but here are realistic ranges to plan around.
Interiors
A single empty room might take a day. An average vacant home interior — walls, ceilings, trims and doors — often takes three to five days depending on size and condition. Furnished homes take longer because of moving and covering belongings.
Exteriors
Exterior and weatherboard jobs vary most, because prep drives the timeline. A straightforward exterior might take three to five days; a weatherboard home needing repairs, scraping and priming can take longer. Weather also plays a part.
What speeds things up
- An empty, accessible property
- Surfaces in good condition needing less prep
- A clear, agreed scope from the start
